I had the great fortune recently to be able to attend a workshop with the amazing Felix Hernandez of Hernandez Dreamphography. If you have not seen Felix’s scale model work (or any of the other genres he does) do check it out!
We got a glimpse behind the scenes of his creative process and better yet, got to setup and shoot a snow/car scene with Felix which we then brought into Photoshop and edited. Although it’s not too unlike my process, I learned a few great tips. The best part, however, was just getting to meet and chat with Felix who couldn’t have been nicer. It was inspiring just seeing what he’s done especially with his scale model work which includes pieces for Audi and other car companies. Makes you feel like this “hobby” could lead somewhere someday!
